Jesse works full time as a Piano Technician at The Colburn School under Neema Pazargad. He was the second American Piano Technician to be awarded the title of Master Piano Artisan by Kawai after completing factory training and exams at the Kawai Ryuyo Factory in Japan, specifically working on the limited edition handmade pianos known as Shigeru Kawais. He is an active contract Piano Technician for Steinway’s Concert and Artist program, and regularly services Harpsichords at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. He is experienced as an institutional tech, having also worked for both UCLA and CalArts, the latter being where he apprenticed with Alan Eder.

Basic Packages
The first appointment will be a 2 hour appointment. My baseline yearly suggestion is one 4 hour and one 8 hour appointment.
2 hour appointment $300
Tuning, diagnosing, small adjustments.
This is a basic introduction appointment which will leave your piano in tune and leave you informed about what the piano may need. As a minimum for piano maintenance, I suggest one or two 2 hour appointments per year, with new pianos needing about double that figure in their first year.
4 hour appointment $550
Tuning, diagnosing, small adjustments
+deep clean and lubricate
This will leave your piano clean inside and out and feeling smoother and easier to play. Your piano will be tuned and small mechanical adjustments will be made. More in-depth diagnosis is also possible in this appointment. I suggest this kind of cleaning appointment once a year, and it can replace one 2 hour appointment because the same amount of tuning is accomplished.
8 hour appointment $1000
Tuning, diagnosing
+touch and/or tonal regulation
Your piano will be tuned and the touch will be improved and/or the sound will be adjusted based on your preference. More in-depth diagnosis is also possible in this appointment. I suggest this kind of full service appointment once a year, and it can replace one 2 hour appointment because the same amount of tuning is accomplished.
These Basic Packages are intended to function as general templates for service. Many other services for the regulation, voicing, reconditioning and rebuilding of your piano are available after consultation and evaluation.
